Guess what's back? Back again? It's the summer heat we've grown so fond of, haha! No matter how much of a fan you are of the 90-degree conditions we all have to get back into the swing of things, especially coming into the weekend. In fact, those of us in extreme southwest Utah will be facing conditions worthy of issuing an Excessive Heat Watch starting noon on Saturday and lasting through Sunday evening. Highs in these areas will reach around 106°F - some very dangerous heat. The rest of the state won't be feeling temps quite that warm, but warm enough! Salt Lake City will feel temps climb back into the upper 90s for Saturday, mid 90s on Sunday. In the meantime, our gradual warm-up will continue alongside high pressure aloft. Drier air will expand east across the Great Basin through the end of the week, delivering us mostly sunny skies and very little when it comes to any chances for precipitation.
